DICE has been hard at work making Battlefield 4 as fair as possible by implementing anti-cheat systems into the game. At this point, DICE isn't playing games with cheaters, they will ban your gaming platform from Battlefield servers for good — you won't even be able to create a new Origin account and play.
To help catch cheaters, the fifth and final DLC pack for Battlefield 4 was actually shipped with a known exploit. It's a sly move, but one that has reduced the amount of cheaters in Battlefield 4 significantly – according to DICE's David Sirland:
“With Final Stand, we had that change [exploit] in there, and there were a significant amount of players hit with the ban hammer, because they were using that cheat we knew about”.
Of course, the anti-cheat system won't remove every cheater as Sirland notes, “there are cheats out there that we don’t know about — we can’t find them all”.
It's a strong move by DICE to remove cheaters by banning them fully and completely.
