Wii Party U features GamePad gameplay for 4 players

During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo made some announcements for Wii Party U. Wii Party U comes with a horizontal stand for the GamePad for a reason, as the game will feature mini-games that make use of up to four players standing above the GamePad, looking down at it.

One such game showed players looking down at a stream, scooping things out with a spoon.

Another was called Dance With Me, and it showed four players standing over a GamePad, with their Miis holding hands and rotating. Very exciting stuff.

Wii Party U launches later this October.
