Wii U and 3DS game releases for October 2015

Guitar Hero Live – Wii U – October 20

While the Wii U won't be getting the full band experience with Rock Band 4, Nintendo fans can still rock out with Guitar Hero Live. Featuring an all new controller with a new button-layout which might challenge veteran players as well, players will get to rock out to over a 100 artists over multiple genres of Rock.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water – Wii U – October 22

I love me some horror games. I also love me some Fatal Frame. The series which unfortunately doesn't get a whole lot of love in the US is finally getting another release. You'll be using your Wii U gamepad as the Camera Obscura, your only line of defense against horrific ghosts and apparitions. This game is free-to-start, meaning you'll be able to play the prologue, Chapter 1 and a majority of Chapter 2 for free, and can then decide to purchase the full game afterwards.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes – 3DS – October 23

If you're familiar with games like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, then you know exactly what to expect here. Well, except this time it's three players instead of four. The game runs on the same engine that A Link Between Worlds ran on, which we already know is awesome. Let's just hope that the co-op gameplay is just as tight.

Alright, while the list of games for both of Nintendo's systems combined may not be as long as one would hope, the actual selection is quite top notch. This actually seems to be a trend with Nintendo; lower number of releases, but at high quality.

Take for instance Chibi-Robo!, a game I'm currently reviewing, and having a good time doing so I might add, is certainly no household name, and yet Nintendo chose to take a chance on this release. With Yoshi's Wooly World finally making its US debut, and the fantastic looking Tri Force Heroes bringing yet another multiplayer Zelda experience to the table, Nintendo fans aren't left in the dark this October.

Let's look at the full list.

Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash – 3DS – October 9

This charming platformer is yet another game in the Chibi-Robo! franchise, where players take the role of the environmentally friendly Chibi-Robo as he tries to save planet from aliens trying to take our precious resources.

It also comes with an amiibo figure which unlocks a few goodies such as a new form for Chibi-Robo as well as some bonus levels.

Yoshi's Woolly World – Wii U – October 16

Keeping up with the adorable trend is Yoshi's Woolly World, which transforms both our favorite dinosaur and the environment into yarn and other fabric. If you've enjoyed the likes of Kirby's Epic Yarn, then Yoshi's Woolly World should certainly be on your radar.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden – 3DS – October 20

Alright, enough cuteness overload, and time to start settling our problems with fists and laser blasts to the face. Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Botuden is a new 2D fighting game for the 3DS featuring over a 100 characters, split between playable and support. You'll take part in major sagas as both heroes and villains.
