Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will receive a slew of post-launch content — as highlighted by yesterday's announcement of a Season Pass — but unfortunately, Wii U owners will see none of it.
Following the discovery of the Wii U's absence in yesterday's announcement, Ubisoft confirmed with Game Reactor that the Wii U version of Assassin's Creed 4 will not receive any of the DLC. This is undoubtedly a blow for Nintendo as it'll be hard to convince consumers to opt for a version that won't be supported post-launch.
What's really worrisome about all of this, though, isn't that the actual Black Flag DLC won't be available, but the signals it sends to Wii U owners. Is Ubisoft the next publisher to draw back their support of Nintendo's struggling system?
For those who own an Xbox or PlayStation, you can purchase the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Season Pass for $19.99, a 20% savings off the total cost of the individual pack prices.
