Sadly, the call for freedom will be postponed, as Galaxy Trail confirmed this afternoon that Freedom Planet's release on the Wii U eShop has yet again been delayed. This time, the culprit is a game-breaking bug that was just discovered today, two days before it was set to appear. Not wanting to release the game in its current state, where it is liable to cause hardware problems, Galaxy Trail has postponed the game's launch until further notice. The reason why it wasn't caught is because the systems that Nintendo uses to test lotcheck submissions differs from those used by consumers.
It may take some time for the development team to correct the issue and verify that it's been addressed properly. But the fight for freedom will most assuredly commence, if not on August 20 (the tentative new date), then hopefully before the end of the month.
