An image has popped up on the internet which shows off a slightly altered look for the Wii U's tablet controller. Up until now, every image of the input device has featured Nintendo's beloved circle pads. This new image, however, shows off a controller with actual analog sticks.
Maybe Nintendo wanted to surprise us all with the new controller model at E3, but it looks like that won't be happening now. That said, with no official word from the Big N, the controller image is not to be considered an actual thing at this point, and we'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see what the company reveals.
Personally, I think analog nubs are fine on a handheld like the 3DS. On a home console like the Wii U, however, traditional analog sticks should be the norm. Here's hoping there's some truth to the image of that Wii U controller, because a lot of gamers would probably prefer sticks over circle pads.
