Remember how Monster Hunter 3G is going to be released for the 3DS? If you look beyond the whole analog nub fiasco that’s been tormenting gamers, there’s actually something to be excited about. After all, Capcom’s action RPG franchise is beloved by many, and it offers a compelling gameplay experience that’s awesome while played at home or on the go.
The 3DS won’t be stopping at Monster Hunter 3G, though. It was recently reported that Capcom would be developing Monster Hunter 4 for the Big N’s dual screen platform. Two Monster Hunter reveals in such a short span of time certainly make for good news, but the whole thing has had some people asking, “What about Sony?”
Reuters recently asked SCEJ President Hiroshi Kawano whether or not the PlayStation Vita would see its own iteration of Monster Hunter 4. “I don’t know,” responded the Sony head. “You will have to ask Capcom.”
Kawano’s abrupt response seems a bit ambiguous, but it’s still possible that Capcom will eventually release a Monster Hunter game, possibly Monster Hunter 4, on the Vita. According to Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, there’s a large likelihood that Capcom will indeed publish the game for the company’s upcoming handheld. “Most large game publishers operate on a multiple platform basis,” he stated, in the process giving hope to Monster Hunter fans who plan on purchasing the Vita down the road.
