Look, video games are fucking weird. So let’s embrace the weirdness and talk about how you can win Whoppers and chicken fries for a good portion of the rest of your life. Burger King and Call of Duty are partnering for a competition in California tomorrow, Thursday, October 24th.
If you’re up for the challenge, you can go to the Burger King in Long Beach, California and go toe to toe with two Call of Duty champs in Modern Warfare. Players will be tasked with beating Optic Scumper and Faze Apex, if you win, you’ll feast on free Burger King 15 years… unless you die of heart disease before then.
You can find the event at 2955 North Bellflower Blvd. Long Beach, CA.
Burger King, Scumper, and Apex have all referenced Burger Town in their tweets promoting the event, possibly indicating they’ll be theming the location after the fictional burger restaurant. Burger Town has been featured in Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty games since Modern Warfare 2 where players had to defend the location during the Russian invasion.
At the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer reveal event in 2011, Infinity Ward and Activision did serve real Burger Town food. Perhaps we’ll see Burger King disguising their food as the beloved in-game restaurant’s.
If you’re not in California and still want some Call of Duty themed snacks, we have a breakdown on all the junk food you can buy that will net you some double XP in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. You can click here to get the rundown.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
