Microsoft's Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has narrowed the release window for Window 10 on the Xbox One. Earlier this month is was revealed that Windows 10 would be seeing a staggered launch after its initial release on PC in July. Non-PC platforms, like the Xbox One and Hololens, are set to see Windows 10 later on in 2015, "according to their own schedules."
Seeing as how "later on in 2015" is a pretty vague launch window, a curious fan took to Twitter and asked Phil when we would see the Windows 10 beta on the Xbox One. Spencer replied saying that the Windows 10 beta would be "post-summer."
While the release for Windows 10 has been narrowed from later 2015, to post-summer – it isn't really too specific. Post-summer can mean Fall 2015, Winter 2015, Spring 2016, or Summer 2044 (ok, that might be an exaggeration). Windows 10 will be bringing tons of new features to the Xbox One, like cross-play between the PC and Xbox One, the ability to stream from the Xbox One onto other Windows 10 devices and even DVR.
