Winona Ryder heads to the small screen in supernatural Netflix original series

Continuing the trends we’ve seen in the last few years with True Detective and the anticipated return of The X-Files, Netflix announced a new supernatural mystery to debut in 2016. Originally titled “Montauk”, the series is now currently untitled but will star Winona Ryder as Joyce, a mother struggling with the disappearance of her 2 year old son.

Joining the cast will be Newsroom alum, David Harbour as the chief of police. The series is being written by brother team, Matt and Ross Duffer, who have previously worked on the miniseries Wayward Pines. The project itself will delve into government conspiracies and other worldly forces.
