An all-new "nerv wracking, splashtastic fun" game is heading to the Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS. Wipeout 3, announced by Activision and ABC Entertainment Group, is looking to get gamers back into the obstacle course game show. The new game will launch complete with updated features, more wacky characters, and all-new epic wipeouts.
"Much of Wipeout's success has stemmed from the fact that people of all ages enjoy the show," said Wipeout's creator and executive producer Matt Kunitz, "We want to capture that essence with Wipeout 3 so that kids, parents, and even grandparents can plunge into this easy-to-learn, zany game."
Wipeout 3 will feature split-screen multiplayer and team modes that support up to four players. Fans of the show will recognize obstacles like the Sweeper Arms and the Big Balls. There will be 12 fresh winter and summer course themes, each loaded with dozens of obstacles that players will interact with via the Kinect, Wii, and 3DS.
For players looking to enhance their gameplay experience, the Wipeout Shop will be loaded with useful items, unlockable characters, and special themed episodes.
Wipeout 3 is set to launch this fall on Kinect for Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.
