The first expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was intended to make both a physical and digital release across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC today, unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case. Anyone in North America that purchased the special boxed edition of Hearts of Stone (that included physical Gwent Cards) at GameStop in North America will have to wait up to several weeks to receive their purchase.
The delay was due to "logistical problems" according to CD Projekt RED's Community Lead, Marcin Momot.
"However, it has come to our attention that, due to logistical problems, customers will be unable to obtain the physical edition of the game for several days after launch. We are working with GameStop to fix this situation as soon as possible and deeply apologize for the inconvenience. "
Several days is a bit of a vague timespan, but Momot did offer some hope saying that the boxed editions could be shipped this week, but it isn't guaranteed. Anyone that purchased the digital version will be able to experience the new 10 hours of Witcher gameplay that will take players into No Man's Land and Oxenfurt, bringing new adventures, characters, monsters, romance, and story.
