Witness Spider-Man’s greatest battle in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 official trailer

Finally, Sony Pictures has released a trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, due out on May 2, 2014. It looks a little more comic-y than the first film in Spider-Man's rebooted trilogy, but still continues the more gritty tone director Marc Webb wanted.

We've only seen teasers of Electro, played by Jamie Foxx, thus far, but the trailer shows us so much more. Not only do we get to see an awesome fight between Spider-Man and Electro, but it looks like we are going to learn a lot more about the research that Peter Parker's dad was doing and how Peter (Andrew Garfield) is linked to all of it. In addition to scenes with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), The Rhino (Paul Giamatti), and what looks to be the Green Goblin, there's hints at what the third film might have in store for us. Anyone notice Dr. Octopus' robotic arms in one scene?

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments below!
