Wolfenstein: The Old Blood now available in hard copy in North America

Physical copies of developer Machine Games' standalone release Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, a prequel of sorts to the fabulous Wolfenstein: The New Order, are now available in North America. The standalone originally released May 5 and saw a hard copy release in Europe May 15.

The Old Blood is a two-part affair again featuring protagonist BJ Blazkowicz's fight against the Nazis, this time focused on the warden of Castle Wolfenstein and a particularly bonkers archaeologist. It retains the slick shooting of its base title while introducing more advanced weaponry, but also loses its head somewhat among the radical change in scenery.

"Wolfenstein: The Old Blood certainly doesn't lack action, but the more subtle moments that made The New Order stand out are sorely lacking," our own Matt Liebl wrote in his review.
