Wonder Woman Movie Officially Rated PG-13

Up until recently, news about the new Wonder Woman being PG-13 wouldn't be too surprising. But with the recent success of Logan and Deadpool, one would think a studio open to more adult-oriented superhero movies would make one of their most anticipated movies fit the mold.

Despite this rumor, Wonder Woman has been announced to officially be rated PG-13. Today, the Motion Picture Association of America officially classified it as such. The classification is for some violence and romance (cover your children's eyes!).

This could be a good sign however. With the mixed reviews on Batman v Superman and the lackluster response to Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman may actually shift to a more accurate tone for the character, which hasn't been overtly gory over the years, so a PG-13 rating seems accurate.

Hopefully, this rating actually helps the movie become what it can be so we can get an overtly positive experience with a DC movie.
