Fans asked for it and fans got it, the perfect counter for the Beastmen in Total War: Warhammer has been announced, the Wood Elves are joining the battle in the next piece of DLC for the game.
The Wood Elves might have been one of the most easily guessed pieces of DLC for Total War: Warhammer, but it took longer than some might have expected for it to get released. As per usual, the Wood Elves are not the nicest race on Warhammer earth but then again no one there is. The DLC description even shows that the Wood Elves dislike almost everyone
"To outsiders, the forest realm of Athel Loren is a brooding and malicious place. The creak and groan of living wood echoes from its dim interior, the canopy seems to absorb all light, and half-seen spirits dart between the twilit bowers. To enter is to place your fate in their hands…"
The DLC called Realm of The Wood Elves comes with a new campaign, new victory condition, new legendary lords, "Comprehensive Wood Elves army roster", and much more Wood Elf goodness. Realm of The Wood Elves is set for release on December 8 and can be pre-ordered now for the discounted price of $17.09, or wait until after it's released and pay the full price of $18.99.
In other Total War: Warhammer news, according to Eurogamer, developer Creative Assembly has already started working on the next installment of Total War: Warhammer, a franchise they from the beginning envisioned as a trilogy. Creative Assembly has also started working on the next Total War game which will be set in a brand new era they haven't done yet.
Now there is only one more piece of DLC for Total War: Warhammer to wait for if their previously leaked plans are anything to go by.
