With subscriptions to World of Warcraft dwindling, Blizzard has brought back the MMORPG's Recruit A Friend program. Along with it comes all-new rewards like the Emerald Hippogryph.
The biggest change is that Recruit A Friend now allows you to email friends an activiation key for World of Warcraft Starter Edition from directly within the game. Simply go to your in-game Friends List and click the new "Recruit A Friend" button.
After your recruited friend purchases 1 month of World of Warcraft game time, the recruiter will receive 1 month of game time for free. Approximately one week after the recruit purchases two months of game time, the recruiter will be able to select from one of the following epic pet and mount rewards.
In addition to mounts, recruiting a friend will provide in-game benefits for up to 90 days like the ability to summon one another to each other's locations and triple experience bonus up to level 85 (when adventuring together and within 4 levels of each other). A third benefit provides one "grantable level" for every two levels the recruit's characters earn. Recruit characters may grant these levels to the veteran player's characters as long as the character is lower in level than the level-granting character.
