World of Warcraft Patch 4.0.1 Released

World of Warcraft patch 4.0.1 went live today, giving players a chance to experience some of the changes the Cataclysm expansion will bring on December 7th.

The update adds the new Cataclysm Launcher, which allows you to stream game data while you play, reducing the time it takes to download, install and patch World of Warcraft. It also adds Reforging NPCs who will allow you to modify the stats on your items, and a new flexible raid lock system.

All of the game’s classes are getting major overhauls to their talents, spells and abilities as well, which will no doubt be the topic of much heated discussion in the forums for weeks to come as everyone tries to figure out who is the most OP and who was hit with the nerf bat the most.

You can read the full patch notes here.
