2K has shed some light on WWE 2K15, revealing to IGN, that this year's installment will have a fresh campaign and a brand new career mode.
Unlike WWE 2K14's broad campaign 30 Years of Wrestlemania, WWE 2K15 will tell "a more focused, up-closed and personal story," IGN reports. The mode will be called 2K Showcase, and it will be broken up into two episodes that each focus on an "epic rivalry" from the WWE's past. Unfortunately, 2K hasn't revealed which ones.
In addition to 2K Showcase, WWE 2K15 will also have a career mode for your created wrestlers. Imagine NBA 2K14's MyCareer reskinned and reimagined for wrestling. I'm quite fond of NBA's MyCareer, but I also feel the WWE environments lends itself quite nicely to the setup. Another piece of unfortunate news, MyCareer will only be offered in the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game.
The last tidbit of information, WWE 2K15 features five times the animation data of 2K14.
Earlier today, 2K revealed WWE 2K15's first screenshot and also unveiled a special "Hulkamania" Collector's Edition.
