An announcement has been made today by WWE 2K16's developmental team claiming that the upcoming game will feature 120 "unique characters" for fans to play with, almost doubling the 67 superstars included in the previous WWE 2K15.
The game has been highly anticipated for some time with WWE already revealing the first six characters set to feature. However at the time 2K Games didn't mention any other details surrounding the rather ambiguous roster, until now.
WWE 2K16 will feature what has been described as the "largest roster ever" in an attempt to make the experience as entertaining as possible. Developers have insisted that the 120 characters will all be seperate, breaking the mould of previous titles whereby superstars such as John Cena and Kane would be given several gimmicks as playable characters.
Instead, WWE 2K16 will include an exciting amount of WWE main-roster stars as well as many of NXT's developmental talents. Ireland's own Finn Balor has already been announced and many fans expect the likes of Hideo Itami, Sasha Banks, Rhyno, Baron Corbin and others to follow suit.
The initial release date for WWE 2K16 is October 27th, 2015.
