WWE and 2K announce multi-year contract extension

Will we finally get Koko B Ware?

WWE and 2K announced today an extension of their partnership, resulting in a new multi-year exclusive agreement for 2K to continue developing and publishing WWE games for years to come.

The agreement will cover all video games under the WWE license, which includes all major platforms and titles. This includes 2K's involvement in WWE SuperCard, the surprise hit card-battling game developed by its Cat Daddy Games studio.

"2K’s leadership in authenticity, quality and overall brand dedication has been a perfect complement for WWE,” said Casey Collins, WWE Executive Vice President, Consumer Products. “Our continued partnership ensures WWE remains at the forefront of global video game brands as we continue innovating and publishing our offerings on multiple platforms.”

The contract length was not mentioned in terms of years,  but we can expect a substantial time based on the monetary success of recent WWE games.  Their most recent title, WWE 2K16, is available now on both Xbox and Playstation platforms.
