X-Men: Apocalypse casting call reveals Wolverine and Gambit are in the film

Oh man, this movie just got better

Hugh Jackman revealed that the third installment of the Wolverine series would be his last time playing the role, but whether or not he would be reprising his role in X-Men: Apocalypse was unclear. A casting call from the Quebec filming location seems to have not only confirmed his role in the upcoming film, but that Channing Tatum will be in it as well.

Last year, we heard that Channing Tatum would be taking the role of Gambit in an upcoming Gambit film (that got a release date at the beginning of the year).

Neither Wolverine nor Gambit have been announced for Apocalypse, but this casting call might be all the confirmation we need.

On top of those two characters, the call revealed the film's synopsis:

It has all lead to this. All of the battles (both outside and within the group), action, relationships and time travel that the uncanny X-Men have endured have lead to this, their biggest story ever – X-Men: Apocalypse. Following the universe changing events of 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past comes this epic mutant adventure and with it a number of casting opportunities for performers of all ages.

X-Men: Apocalypse will follow the super powered mutants battling their most powerful foe yet, the devious and devastatingly dangerous Apocalypse. This legendary villain uses his incredible abilities to alter his physical form, access other mutant superpowers and telekinesis to recruit a cult-like group called the Four Horsemen to be his servants and do his bidding in an all out war against the X-Men.
