X-Men: Apocalypse wraps filming

It’s official, X-men Apocalypse has wrapped on filming. The film has been shooting since April in Montreal under the direction of Bryan Singer and has a returning cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy with Olivia Munn, Sophie Turner and Lana Condor joining the cast and will mark the ninth entry into Fox’s X-Men universe.

The film itself fast forwards from 60’s era First Class and time bending Days of Future Past and shifts instead to the 80’s and the introduction of iconic characters such as Jubilee, Jean Grey and Betsy Braddock as Psylocke.

The film will make it to US theaters May 27, 2016 making the 2016 summer season loaded with comic goodness as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad are sandwiching Apocalypse with their releases on March 25th and August 5th respectively.
