Xbox 360 owners are loving Minecraft, as evidenced by the amount of hours played that have been logged. PlayXBLA just announced that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has reached over one billion hours of gameplay. It took less than a year for the game to achieve that milestone.
Minecraft launched on Xbox 360 back in May 2012. Since then it has sold over six million copies, as of March 29, 2013. Those numbers should rise as a disc-based retail version hits stores on April 30.
"We’re sure the second billion hours will be just as fun! Thanks for all your support and keep on gaming!" the post concluded.
