Xbox's launched its new Netflix-like Game Pass program recently with quite a big library to start with. These games can be downloaded and played if a player is subscribed to the monthly service. A full list of the games available can be found here.
The existing list is nice, but much like Netflix, the momentum can't stop there. They're constantly adding new movies and series to Netflix, and Xbox Game Pass needs to follow suite in order to succeed. Luckily, that's exactly what they aim to do.
"We talk about 'more is better' and that means always having something new to play," Xbox Game Pass senior product manager Dennis Ceccarelli said during an Xbox Daily interview at E3 (via NeoGAF).
"So on the first of every month, you're going to see at least five new games enter the Game Pass catalog – every single month. Again, we're really trying to give a great mix of games across different ratings, different experiences, different genres, so no matter who you are, if you're a Game Pass member, every single month there's something new for you to play."
Also like Netflix, some games are susceptible to leaving the service at later dates. When questioned on this issue, Ceccarelli assured that nothing in their library will be leaving before November.
He goes on to say that, "In reality, the vast majority of our games are going to be in there much, much longer than that so you've got plenty of time to play through the great experiences that are in Game Pass, engage with DLC, just really enjoy that content – it's not leaving tomorrow."
The Xbox Game Pass debuted on June 1 and includes games such as Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Halo 5: Guardians, Mad Max and Payday 2.
