Microsoft's Games with Gold, a promotion that provides two free games per month to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers, will carry over to the Xbox One. Microsoft had been testing the promotion on the Xbox 360 over the past few months, but it was never confirmed if it would be offered on the Xbox One. Now we know it will.
Microsoft's Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb confirmed it today via Twitter, adding that details will be "coming later in 2014."
Great news: Access to free games each month is coming for Xbox Live Gold members on #XboxOne – Details coming later in 2014

Given that details are coming in 2014, I doubt the promotion will be available for Xbox One gamers at launch on November 22. But at least we know it will eventually be offered.
Some of the games Microsoft has given away on Xbox 360 include Crackdown, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, Shadowrun, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Fable 3 and Assassin's Creed 2. This month Microsoft is giving away A World of Keflings and Iron Brigade (formerly known as Trenched).
While I'd never complain about free games, the biggest complaint about Games with Gold has been a lack of relevant titles offered. Defending the selection of games, Microsoft maintains that Games with Gold is more about rediscovering old classics than about new blockbusters. Obviously that mentality will have to change with the Xbox One as the system hasn't been out long enough to establish its own classics.
