Xbox LIVE Gold membership gets $25 discount

Just in time for the Ultimate Game Sale, electronics e-retailer Newegg has discounted the price of a 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership card. Normally $59.99, you can snag a full year of Xbox LIVE Gold for just $35 over on eBay. Of course, supplies are limited and over 1,000 of these cards have already been sold so I'm not too sure how much longer the deal will be there for.

In any case, I'd hugely recommend taking advantage of it, not just because Xbox LIVE Gold is required to play games online through Xbox LIVE, but also to take advantage of Microsoft's free Games with Gold every month, discounted Deals with Gold every week, and the current Ultimate Game Sale which is happening right now.

In addition to the over $700 in combined savings offered through the Ultimate Game Sale, being a Gold member adds an additional $125 savings. So yea, Xbox LIVE Gold is worth it.
