Xbox LIVE saw "incredible activity" over the Black Friday weekend, Microsoft's Major Nelson said today. The announcement comes during the same report that revealed 750,000 Xbox 360 units were sold in the U.S. during the same period (Sunday, Nov. 18 – Friday, Nov. 23).
"For example, on Sunday alone we had more than 14 million people on Xbox LIVE across the world, racking up more than 72 million hours of use in just one day," Nelson detailed. Additionally, Microsoft's goal of transforming the Xbox 360 into an all-around entertainment device seems to be paying off.
"Compared to 2011, we’ve seen a 43 percent increase in U.S. entertainment application hours logged on Xbox LIVE during the week of Black Friday," added.
