Microsoft has acknowledged user reports of Xbox LIVE being down, confirming "core services" on Xbox One and Xbox 360 are "limited."
According to the specifics on the official Xbox LIVE Status page, users are having issues signing into Xbox LIVE. The official message reads:
"Having trouble signing in to Xbox Live? Our team is working to get this fixed ASAP. Thanks for your patience while we get everything back to normal. We'll update you as soon as we know more!"
While we've personally had no problem signing into Xbox LIVE on our Xbox One system, an influx of users are complaining of the inability to sign in to Xbox LIVE.
It's been a pretty rought week for Microsoft, which has seen problems with its Xbox LIVE service on three separate occasions this week. Xbox LIVE has traditionally been known for its stability, but that was mostly during the Xbox 360 days. Since the Xbox One's launch, we've certainly seen an uptick in the number of problems experienced. Of course, these problems never usually last long, but it's still an annoyance for users paying monthly for the service to work properly.
