Xbox modder hacks Destiny to enable God Mode and other cheats

As if cheesing Atheon, or any of the other boss in Destiny for that matter, weren't cheap enough, a modder has apparently discovered a hack in Bungie's online shooter that enables all sorts of cheats.

Although YouTuber MhzMiricle didn't publish full details on how to enable these cheats in Destiny, the footage shows the modder pulling up a special menu where tehy can enter whatever cheat they want. As you can see, the cheats include God Mode, no cooldowns on Supers, infinite ammo, increased movement speed, and a ridiculous boost in damage. Despite being just level 3, MhzMiricle is able to easily defeat enemies and even one-shot kill a boss.

It looks as if this menu and these cheats are limited to last-gen consoles — in this case, the Xbox 360 specifically — and possibly only to those who own modded consoles. MhzMiricle has already said that instructions on how to enable these cheats will not be released, "nor will the Source code."

Although I'm well-aware of the copious amounts of exploiting going on in Destiny right now, this is the first I've seen of this type of blatant game-breaking cheating. I doubt that every day Destiny players will be able to figure out how to mod their system or game to enable these cheats — especially with no sort of instructions — but it's still troubling that even one player could do this sort of thing. Can you imagine if other modders figured this out?
