Microsoft took to Cologne, Germany Gamescom with tons of announcements, trailers, Xbox One accessory reveals and more. One of the announcements that falls under the 'more' category would be the new feature headed to the Xbox One, DVR.
During the event, Microsoft revealed that the full-featured DVR functionality would be releasing on Xbox One's in 2016, but what they didn't reveal was that only three countries would be seeing the features initial launch: US, Canada and the UK.
Other countries, like Germany and France would have details on when the feature launches "at a later date."
The Xbox One's DVR feature ties directly in in the Xbox App on Windows 10, allowing you to take any of your downloaded shows on the go — even without an internet connection. It will work with over-the-air programming for cord-cutters and will be a subscription-free service.
