Xbox One gets temporary $50 price cut for the holidays

Microsoft really wants you to buy an Xbox One this holiday season — so much so that they have announced a special. limited-time promotional offer.

Starting November 2, the Xbox One will be available for $349 in the U.S., $50 cheaper than its regular $399 price. The discount also applies to any Xbox One special edition bundles that have already been announced, including Assassin's Creed Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Sunset Overdrive. In some cases, you can save up to $150 with select bundles which is crazy.

“Fans don’t have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We’re offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday,” said Microsoft Vice President Yusuf Mehdi. “We’re gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season.”

The promotion will be available nationwide at most major retailers in the U.S. including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Stores, Target, Toys 'R Us, and Walmart. Here's a look at some of the bundle offerings:

  • Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle ($349) and Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle with Kinect ($449). Includes: Assassin’s Creed: Unity as well as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on Xbox One. The Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle with Kinect also includes Dance Central Spotlight.
  • Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle ($349). Includes: a sleek white Xbox One console and wireless controller, a digital copy of the game, and special Day One edition in-game items.
  • Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle ($449). Includes: a 1TB hard drive, custom console, custom controller and Limited Edition exoskeleton, plus a digital copy of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition.

This limited-time offer will be available through January 3, 2015.
