To date, Microsoft has had some pretty impressive deals when it comes to its Xbox One system. With the price now reduced to what seems like a permanent $349 — $50 cheaper than its price at launch — any additional games or peripherals added on are just icing on the cake.
In the past we've seen games like Sunset Overdrive, Call of Duty, and Assassin's Creed all offered with the Xbox One. In some cases, the Assassin's Creed Unity bundle even had an additional game tacked on. Point being, there's definitely been ample opportunity for you to pick up an Xbox One.
But if you've managed to hold out, Microsoft is upping the offer — introducing the new Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle. Priced at $349 and coming this spring (March), worldwide, the new bundle includes an Xbox One and four Halo games all packed into one Collection. For those unfamiliar, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, released last November, preps you for the release of this year's Halo 5: Guardians by offering you "the essential Halo fan experience."
Included in this single-disc experience is Master Chief's complete story up to this point, told through Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. In total, there are 45 campaign missions, plus more than 100 multiplayer and Spartan Ops maps — all playable in 1080p at 60fps. There were some major multiplayer issues at launch, but with a few months worth of patching, 343 Industries continues to improve the experience. The bundle also comes with access to the new live-action digital series from executive producer Ridley Scott, Halo: Nightfall.
Perhaps more importantly, getting in on this bundle now means you'll be ready for the release of tons of other Xbox exclusives including Fable Legends, Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Forza Motorsport 6.
