Ubisoft recently started talking about post-launch content for Tom Clancy's The Division, and while they mentioned that there will be free DLC for the game, they forgot to mention that the DLC would be exclusive to one console for a set amount of time. Well, they forgot to mention it for the last two years…
Ubisoft mentioned timed DLC exclusivity during Microsoft's E3 2014 conference, but they haven't mentioned it since.
Luckily, a promotional banner for The Division on GameStop, spotted by Charlie Intel, has reminded us that DLC for The Division will first come to the Xbox One, then the PlayStation 4 and PC.
The promotion reads, "Get new content first on Xbox One" and features an image of an Xbox One Bundle for The Division.
The timed exclusivity for DLC shouldn't be too much of a surprise, especially since the beta for The Division is coming to Xbox One owners a day before it is available to PS4 and PC owners.
On top of that, Microsoft revealed a 1TB Xbox One bundle with the game included. The Division is set to release on March 8, 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One
