Yesterday, Microsoft announced a fresh batch of Xbox 360 games that will be playable on Xbox One via the system's new(ish) backward compatibility feature. A total of 16 older games were announced, including Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fable 3, and Halo: Reach. Missing from that list, unfortunately, was one of the most-requested games — Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Although we know the popular first-person shooter is on the way, it looks like we'll have to wait at least another month for its arrival, and possibly longer. Call of Duty: Black Ops is now listed on the Xbox Backward Compatibility page alongside the BioShock Series and Halo Wars as "more favorite titles coming each month." No date is listed.
Microsoft promises to announce new Xbox One Backward Compatible games on a regular basis, so perhaps early 2016. There's still no mention of other top-requested games, including Black Ops 2, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, or Red Dead Redemption.
