Xbox One, PS4 bundles highlight Walmart’s Black Friday sales

Walmart waited a bit longer than most, but the retailer today finally published its Black Friday deals. And this might be the best we've seen so far.

The main attraction seems to be the $329 Xbox One which bundles the newly released Halo: The Master Chief Collection. While the price of the bundle isn't technically any different than what other retailers are offering, this is the first I've seen of a store bundling the newest Xbox One exclusive. Walmart is also throwing in a $30 gift card, meaning you're really getting the bundle for just $289 — so I guess it is the cheapest we've seen.

Walmart is opening its doors at 6:00pm on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 27), but what's neat is that the Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Bundle is part of the store's 1-hour guarantee. That is, it is guaranteed to be in-stock during the first hour; if it sells out, Walmart will provide you with a rain check that allows you to get it for the same price when it is restocked.

While the Halo Bundle is by far the best deal at Walmart, other Thanksgiving/Black Friday game deals include:

  • Xbox One Assassin's Creed: Unity Bundle – $329
  • Xbox One Bundle with 12-month Xbox LIVE and your choice of one game – $379
  • Xbox One Controller – $39.96
  • Xbox 360 4GB – $99
  • 3-month Xbox LIVE – 50% off
  • PS4 bundle with The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto 5 – $399
  • PS4 DualShock 4 Controller in Camo or Black – $39.96
  • PS4 Grand Theft Auto 5 Bundle with your choice of two games – $449
  • Nintendo 3DS XL Super Mario Bros. 2 Gold Edition Bundle – $149.96

Of course, the year's hottest games will also be specially priced. Right now, games are divided into four different tiers: $35, $25, $20, and $15, depending on the popularity, age, and platform. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is in a league of its own at $49.96 for the Xbox One or PS4 version.

You can see what Target and Best Buy are offering in terms of game sales to see which retailer is best worth your time this year.
