Xbox One’s May update could bring game streaming to PC

Those that are lucky enough to be part of the Xbox one Preview Program got an early look at the May update for Xbox One yesterday. At first glance the update's initial details reveal fixes for audio popping and Voice Messaging issues; however, there's actually a lot more than what meets the eye.

Microsoft's Larry Hryb not only revealed that there would be more features coming with the May Xbox One update in the future, but eagle-eyed previewers noticed a feature that wasn't detailed by Microsoft at all.

Previewers spotted an addition to the Settings 'System & App' section — one that would allow game streaming to other devices. This feature was shown off by Phil Spencer during a Microsoft Keynote presentation that focused on Windows 10's integration with the Xbox One. Microsoft sees a future of unified gaming, one where Xbox One games can be streamed and played on any Windows 10  device and it looks like May's update will be the first step in that direction.

Windows 10 doesn't have an official release date, but it can't be too far off if we are seeing beta testing for one of the key features of the new operating system.
