Xbox One’s Netflix-Like Game Pass Launches For the Public Today, Here’s What’s Available

While a few choice testers and Xbox Live Gold members had access to this earlier, today Microsoft has released the Xbox One’s Netflix-Style subscription program.

Xbox Game Pass, as it’s being called, launches to the general public, and with it, everyone can sign up for a membership. For those looking to merely give it a try, there’s also a 14-day trial. With over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, the trial will most likely be more than enough to provide a taste of the program. Games included so far are Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Payday 2, and Bioshock Infinite.

Unlike Netflix, the games aren’t streamed, but rather downloaded and stored locally. The catalog is planned to be expanded every month, while some games may cycle off of the roster. It also offers a discount on permanent purchases of games you like with 20% off.

For more information and to sign up for Xbox Game Pass, check out Microsoft’s page here.
