Xbox One’s Quantum Break gameplay to be shown at Gamescom, but here’s a sneak peek

Quantum Break won't be released until 2015, and Xbox One fans shouldn't expect to see gameplay of it until August during Gamescom. This is according to developer Remedy Entertainment's Sam Lake took to the Xbox blog to share with us the latest on Quantum Break, briefly explaining the game's concept and informing us that it would not be at E3 next month.

"Quantum Break is the fusion of a cinematic action game and a top-of-the-line live-action show," Lake explained. "The game is about heroes. The show is about villains. In the game you play as Jack Joyce in a desperate fight to stop the fracture that threatens to cause the end of time. In the show — in the style of an edgy, modern TV series — you follow the schemes and powerplay inside of Monarch [Solutions], the corporation that's Jack's main enemy.

"We are working hard to bring you an entertainment experience like no other," Lake assured, adding that Quantum Break isn't expected until sometime in 2015.

And though we won't get to see any new gameplay until Gamescom, Remedy did at least offer a sneak peek at the time-amplified action gameplay.
