Xbox One S releases on August 2nd

Last month at E3, Microsoft revealed two brand new Xbox One models, one of which coming this year! The console was revealed to be 40% smaller than the bulky original Xbox One and includes several new features such as a 4K Blu-Ray player. However, the console wasn't given a solid release date even though they promised that it would come very soon but fear not, we now have a release date and it's incredibly soon!

Today, Major Nelson revealed on his blog that the 2TB version of the Xbox One S will be arriving two weeks from now on Tuesday, August 2nd. If you pre-order now, you can get it on August 2nd but it's hard to say how many of these bad boys retailers will have at launch.

In related news, Microsoft also revealed a custom Gears of War 4 Xbox One S which will include a Gears themed console and controller, a copy of the Ultimate Edition of the game, and some other extra goodies.
