Xbox One Stereo Headset and Headset Adapter announced

Microsoft has announced today a pair of new audio device options for the Xbox One: a brand new Stereo Headset and a separate Stereo Headset Adapter for people who want to use their already-owned headphones.

The new Stereo Headset, available for $79.99, pairs a premium, full-range (20Hz – 20kHz) audio experience with a unidirectional microphone. It includes an Adapter that contains all of the audio controls allowing you to balance the game and chat audio levels, control the master volume, and mute the microphone. The headset doesn't use separate batteries and is passively powered through the wireless controller. Additionally, the headset is compatible with mobile devices, tablets, and PC/Mac.

In addition to the Stereo Headset, Microsoft has also announced a standalone adapter that will allow you to use your "favorite set of stereo gaming headphones" with the Xbox One. It'll be available more a more convenient price for $24.99.
