Microsoft frontman Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed a system update for the Xbox One will roll out today.
Unfortunately, it's nothing to get too excited about, as it contains no new features — just a few "behind the scenes bug fixes."
Since the Xbox One's launch in 2013, Microsoft has been pretty consistent on updating the console with highly requested features from fans. Most recently, the company added backward compatibility functionality (in November) with The New Xbox One Experience, allowing you to play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One natively, with next-gen features such as screenshots, broadcasting, and Game DVR. Not all Xbox 360 games are currently playable via backward compatibility, but Microsoft and publishers are constantly working together to update the growing catalog of titles.
Today's update may not be feature heavy, but expect constant improvements to arrive on a monthly basis throughout the year.
