The Xbox One's rumored November 8th launch is false, according to an unnamed source close to Microsoft.
Yesterday, documentation claiming the November 8th release was leaked to the internet, leading many to believe the Xbox One would launch a week before the PS4. It'd certainly be smart a smart strategy for Microsoft, but it doesn't appear to be true if Kotaku's source is to be believed.
Rather, the source expects the console to launch at a date later than November 8th, though still in November as Microsoft has said. Earlier this month, Microsoft delayed the Xbox One's launch in eight markets; Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland will now see the console launch in their respective market "as soon as possible in 2014."
The PlayStation 4, meanwhile, will launch on November 15th in the United States and will be released in 32 markets worldwide.
