Despite analysts saying that the Xbox One X would not sell well at its price point, the console has outpaced that PlayStation 4 Pros initial sales numbers in its first week.
The first week of sales for the Xbox One X has been revealed to be over 80,000 in the UK, according to GamesIndustry.biz. In comparison, the PS4 Pro sold "a little over 50,000" in its first week back in November 2016 and took the console four weeks to hit the Xbox One X's numbers.
Aaron Greenberg, the Head of Xbox Games Marketing at Microsoft, has come out to say that the good sales numbers are not limited to the UK, but that Microsoft is seeing "similar results across Europe." The sales number for North America haven't been revealed, but Greenberg detailed that North America's numbers were "much bigger."
In North America, GameStop announced that they had nearly sold out of all of their Xbox One X units within the first 24 hours. It wasn't detailed whether GameStop had a short supply or not, but if North America's sales are bigger than the UK's it looks like they might have had a decent supply.
