Xbox SmartGlass offers all-new experiences for The Dark Knight Rises

Today marks the release of The Dark Knight Rises on DVD, Blu-ray, and more importantly, Xbox Video. Why is the release on Xbox Video so worthy? Because it offers more in-depth information about one of this year's biggest films via the Xbox SmartGlass.

Major Nelson yesterday detailed some of the features included with The Dark Knight Rises Xbox SmartGlass. Using your second screen device, you'll have access to exclusive content, storyboards, triviax, and quotes from the film's director and actors. You'll also be able to get a closer look at The Dark Knight Rises' vehicles, gadgets, and characters, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Bane's terrorist acts.Additionally, while watching the film, SmartGlass will display time-synced information.

Xbox SmartGlass is currently available for certain iOS, Windows and Android mobile devices as a free download. The companion app features integration with Xbox 360 games like Dance Central 3 and Forza Horizon, as well as apps including ESPN.
