One of the Xbox store’s biggest sales of the year is about to get underway as the countdown to 2017 sale kicks off December 22.
The sale will run for 19 days through January 9, 2017 and features deep discounts on games, movies, TV shows, music, apps, and more.
Game sales will include both Xbox One and Xbox 360 games with titles going for as much as 60 percent off, including popular games like Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Watch Dogs 2, and more. Microsoft says there will be more than 40 backward compatible games on sale as well.
If you’re still hesitant about joining Xbox Live Gold, the countdown sale is offering new members their first month of membership for $1.

Xbox Live rewards will be in full force during countdown. In addition to the regular deals, members can get up to 10 percent back on purchases with MyVIP. Plus, every dollar they spend in the Xbox store or Microsoft Movies & TV before December 31 counts toward boosting their stat rank for 2017.
Lastly, countdown offers a free 30-day trial of Groove Music Pass, with eligible customers getting an extra three months. Grove Music Pass contains millions of ad-free songs on all of their devices, including custom playlists, artist radio, and background music.
