XCOM 2 ‘doubles down’ on character customizations.

The tactical favorite expands player options to make you feel fully invested in your character.

Last month 2K confirmed that their Inception horn heavy trailer, Advent, was in actuality, XCOM 2. Returning us to a version of our world where we have not only been invaded, but have lost sovereignty of our planet. You’ll fight to over throw the alien Advent government that has becoming solidified in the 20 years since the first game, moving from outright battle and into guerrilla warfare.

Nicccccce to meet youuuu

While maintaining the franchise’s turn-based tactical gameplay, this time around the developer, Firaxis, has turned major attention to the new game’s customization abilities. Not only will you be able to name and set gender and national origin of your soldiers, the game will also use that information to tailer details such as their accents, Senior Producer, Garth DeAngelis explained, "We obviously won't have voices for every single nationality, but we'll have a system that will tag—when we have the voices to support it—it will line up with that voice that says, 'oh, he should sound like this.' You can still change it if you want, on your own, but it will be set up like that." He continued, "You have to be able to name your characters, that's personally one of my favourite parts. You've got to create your own stories, and character customisation has been pushed. We've doubled down on character customisation. There's so much more you can do with it, there's so many more knobs you can turn now that feed into the resistance theme."

XCOM 2 comes to PC this November.
