XCOM: Enemy Unknown ‘Slingshot Content Pack’ announced

2K Games and Firaxis Games has announcedthe Slingshot Content Pack for the recently released action strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The Slingshot Content Pack is the first of two planned single-player add-ons that will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It includes three new maps tied to the Council missions, a new playable squad character with a unique story and voice and new character customization options.

"In this new set of linked Council missions, gamers will meet an enigmatic Triad operative, divert an alien ship’s course, and do battle with the aliens in the skies over China," the brief description reads.

The release date and pricing for the Slingshot Content Pack will be announced "soon". 2K didn't yet detail the second add-on, but has announced the Elite Soldier Pack, which was free to those who pre-ordered XCOM: Enemy Unknown or purchased the game at launch, is now available for purchase. Available for $4.99 it provides the classic X-Com soldier, soldier deco packs, and complete color customization.
