Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition out now with a sweet launch trailer

Nintendo Switch owners can now play one of the best Wii titles on the go with improved visuals and extra content in the form of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The remaster has launched today exclusively on Nintendo’s popular hybrid console. Watch the launch trailer here!

The Nintendo Switch is the hot piece of gaming technology these days. After the colossal flop that was the Wii U, Nintendo succeeded in turning the ship by focusing on the one area they were pretty much uncontested in. Handheld gaming. Well, smartphones have somewhat changed that but the truth is, the experiences between mobile gaming and handheld gaming are rather different. Nintendo is offering more traditional, hardcore gaming titles that can be enjoyed both at home on the big screen or on the go.

Now you can explore the vast world of Bionis and Mechonis with stunning upgraded landscapes, new character models, more than 90 remastered music tracks, new Time Attack battles and updated game menus for easier navigation. As you battle your way through giant environments packed with complex characters, engaging quests and hidden secrets to unearth, the lush world of Xenoblade Chronicles unfolds into an unforgettable RPG experience.

One great effect of the Switch’s stellar success is that prior Nintendo games are getting ports which make them playable literally everywhere for the first time. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is the latest in that line of remasters and promises much more than just the excellent original game for new audiences. An extensive visual overhaul, especially for the game’s characters, elevate the definitive edition among mere ports. Then there’s an entirely new and large epilogue where players can experience new tales with the original cast that takes place one year after the original story.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
