The North American version of Xenoblade Chronicles has been sporting a general April launch date for some time now. Those of us who really want to play this game have been hoping for Nintendo to reveal the game's specific release date, and I'm happy to report that it's finally happened.
During the Nintendo Direct video presentation, Nintendo of America President and internet meme Reggie Fils-Aime told Wii owners that they can look forward to playing Xenoblade Chronicles on April 6. That's just over a month away, folks! If you haven't already, go pre-order the game now at your local GameStop, which is the only retailer that will carry the title.
In addition to the official North American launch date of Xenoblade Chronicles, Fils-Aime also revealed the game's reversible cover, which was selected on Facebook via fan votes. You can check out the winning cover art below. While I didn't vote for this cover myself, I won't deny just how lovely the darn thing looks.
Nintendo really pulled it off today with its video presentation. In addition to the launch date announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles, Fils-Aime also delivered huge news, stating that The Last Story, another RPG Wii owners in North America really want, would be getting localized on our side of the world. It's a great day to be a Wii owner.
